Salvage Yard Storage Rack Design Features and Benefits

Dexco Salvage Yard Racks provide vertical storage capacity on high-strength arms designed to accommodate recycled automobiles and scrap metal materials on single- or double-sided columns. A horizontal base helps stabilize the structure and supports the bottom load. Cars can be stored up to four levels high, yielding four times the storage capacity in the same available space. This type of storage system offers many advantages including:

Increased Profits

Expanding storage capacity leads to more sales opportunities for your business. Dexco vehicle storage racks multiply your storage space and enable you to store vehicles of any size and shape. As a result, you can offer your customers a wider variety of parts for different applications.

Efficient, Organized Storage

Our heavy-duty car storage racks can store vehicles of all makes, models and sizes with high visibility. Their open design makes it simple to view your inventory at a glance. With more organized vehicle storage, you’ll get faster retrieval and increase efficiency.

Easy Access

Wide, open rows allow easy loading and unloading by forklift trucks. Increased access to your vehicles speeds up every step of storage and retrieval for a more efficient workflow. It also frees up space as a result of better traffic flow through your salvage yard.

Lower Operating Costs

The open design of our automotive storage racks lets you retrieve parts faster, requiring less time and labor. With your team giving you more efficient results, you get a higher return on investment. This increase in ROI leads to lower average operating costs.

Added Security

Since our salvage yard rack systems store cars at higher levels, you will have better protection from part damage and theft. Store your more valuable salvage on the highest racks to ensure that only your trucks have access to it.

Increased Safety

Because of their efficient, organized storage and easy access to vehicles, Dexco vehicle storage racks facilitate the maintenance of a safe job site.  A safe workplace increases your team’s well-being, leading to higher morale and workplace efficiency.

Design Options

Choose from standard designs or custom engineering. Standard designs offer the best value and shortest lead times.

Applications

Dexco salvage yard racks suit full-service salvage yards and those that extract parts for individual resale. They work well for businesses that have regular access to forklifts.

Technical Data

Dexco Auto Recycling Rack Systems are engineered using American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC) standards, which were developed to guide the design of large steel structures such as bridges and buildings. The stringent nature of these standards, coupled with Ross Technology’s conservative approach to structural rack design, mean you can be confident that your people and products are safe and secure.

All rack arms and columns are manufactured using wide flange beams with a 50 KSI minimum yield, offering greater strength and durability compared to roll-formed steel. Dexco Salvage Racks can also be hot-dip galvanized. The end result is a racking system that better resists damage from the weather and your material handling equipment while providing larger load capacities within a given space.
